Practice ?

Looking for a few practice ideas.  I would like to work on accuracy (repeating shots at the arrows and bp).

Proper footwork and swing allows someone to be accurate. Trying to hit a dime, as said before does not improve accuracy. It will make you mechanical and that is bad. Practicing straight footwork and a straight swing is the best start. An easy reputable shot is the easiest way to become accurate. And lastly, no one is perfect. If you focus too much on being that accurate, again you will create bad habits. FUNDAMENTALS is where it all starts. You cant make yourself be accurate. You can only make your fundamentals great.

It is hard to argue with Adam's points. In my last several practices, I focused on my footwork: shortening my approach and also shortening my 1st step. The changes helped my timing which, in turn, helped my accuracy.

The quarter drill isn't for everyone as with many coaching tips. and there's no way to know that it "WILL" make a bowler mechanical. How do you know for sure? is it proven?Just got to try it, and if it doesn't work, move on to something else that works. And yes, it starts with fundamentals.

Anyone can throw a punch, but a punch is wasted energy if doesn't start from the ground up. Anyone can roll a bowling ball.....

Does a round object have sides? I say yes, pizza has triangles..

I always try to implement corner pin practice into my routine, especially the 10 pin (RH bowler here). Sometimes I also practice rolling between the 3 & 6 pin, because for some stupid reason, I am weak at the 3-10 split.

Another good tip for you could be to take your weakest ball to practice. You obviously won't see the big change in direction down lane, so it may help you execute better in the long run.
