Thumb slugs
« on: March 02, 2005, 05:35:27 AM »
Well this is a two part thing.....First off, what kind of slug do you guys prefer?  Urethane or vinyl?

The other part...Am i crazy and the only one, or do vinyl slugs provide more friction than urethane?  My current driller uses vinyl slugs, the old one used urethane.  Even though my pitches are correct, i notice that i tend to stick a bit more with the vinyl.  Are they supposed to have a bit more friction?  Its nothing that some new-skin doesn't fix, but I was just thinking it's a bit odd.  NExt time, i might ask him if he has any urethane slugs.

I find that my current slug, that is urethane i think, rips teh skin off of my thumb.

Cuz teh thumb tends to stick, i have been using a range of pitches trying to find what is comfortable to me.  I hate it.
