How much is too much for high end balls?
« on: October 13, 2010, 10:12:18 AM »
I haven't bought anything in a few years, I used to get them from a guy but he closed shop. He basically either sold me the ball at his cost and paid for drilling, or I paid full price for ball and he threw in the drilling. Either way a brand new top end ball never was more than $190ish.

The guy who owns a few shops seems knowledgeable, but wants to charge me $25 to drill and $210 for high end ball. Would I be paying too much? I can get it on buddies for like $125.

What's the etiquette, should I just buy it online for $125 and have him drill it? His drilling is like $20 more if you don't buy from him. I kinda feel like a jerk after he totally sized me up and pointed out some things to help me. Though seems like I'm getting a tad ripped off...
