Pre - Tournament Burn Out
« on: May 05, 2005, 02:52:43 AM »
Its like this. Have got my first tournament for a few months coming this weekend, scratch event at the City Limits Bowl in Croydon, in the UK. 8 games qualifying, then cut to the top 32 for matchplay. Have never made the cut in one of these ranking events, but tend to do well in big events as a rule. But now, just a few days beforehand, I just feel very apathetic over going. Its all paid, and have got to go along, but I am just not feeling 'UP' for it. Am bowling well enough at the moment (652 in my house' scratch league on monday in a 20 - 0 win) but just not feeling pumped. Has anyone else ever had this happen to them? Any ideas how to get out of it?

Maybe not being all pumped up will work to your advantage, who knows?
