Anyone use an elbow brace ????
« on: March 05, 2004, 07:14:51 AM »
I started bowling again twice a week about a month ago after not touching a bowling ball for 11yrs.  Everything was going well up until about 2 1/2 weeks ago when I started to feel some pain in my elbow.  Now I know I am not getting any younger and I made some changes in my style compensate for this, but I can't get rid of the pain in my elbow and it has started to effect some of my shots and concentration.  Has anyone worn a adjustable elbow brace for pain and if so did it help ?

Ant suggestions would be helpfull !

Thanks, Mike

X-MAN,
I know what you mean. I have "tennis elbow" from playing badminton some many years ago. I only get pain in bowling now when I try to over power the lanes. If I remember to maintain a smooth free armswing, I can bowl whole day long without any pain.
What I found that helps is a good thumb fit so I do not have to muscle the grip.
