Pro Shop Equipment

I could not find this question in any of my searches, so I hope this is not going over old ground, but what is the minimum requirements equipment wise if you were planning to layout and drill bowling balls? Also, is there an alternative to the dodo scale, or is that something that comes under the heading of 'required equipment'? Any help would be appreciated

If you want to punch Holes for yourself all you need is this

If I got something like the first package, is there anything I could use for checking side weights etc, or does it have to be a kaufman scale?

The Kaufman scale is the most reliable and you can pick them up fairly reasonable.  I believe there is something like them made by AMF also.  I have two Kaufman scales one in the drill area and another on the sales floor.  They are not really that expensive.

BTW:  Compared to a Haus resurfacing machine the Kaufman scale is cheap.

A new Kaufman costs between $900 and $1000.  A used one usually goes for $500 to $600 depending on age and condition.
