CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST THE USBC

OK...If this balance hole/CG issue becomes law????

MILLIONS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF BOWLING BALLS NOW BECOME USELESS!!!!

Spoke to My attorney & friend last night about these new USBC proposals....He feels there is a Strong Case for a LAW SUIT If these proposals pass..

#1- Why is there a balance hole in about 20 of My bowling balls?...ANSWER...I had to do this to make these balls legal under the ABC static weight rules

#2-What can Be done to fix these 20 Bowling balls?....ANSWER....Nothing because if You plug these balls & try to redrill them....the marked CG has now changed because of the plug

My attorney told Me He would strongly consider to start this CLASS ACTION SUIT if this Rule does pass....So who is with ME??????

I didnt know that my Manhattan rubber ball and my Amulet plastic ball were 'cheater' balls.  They will be illegal under the new proposals.

And, by your username, most of your equipment would be illegal too.  No U-Dots for  you.

As far as the CG and weighthole issues, I can probably live with those changes even though I might have a couple of balls that would have to be disposed of because plugging and redrilling would not bring them into compliance.  But what bothers me the most is the USBC label issue.  I have a lot of older bowling balls that I will on occasion go back to and use and a lot of NIB ones that will be useless to me if the label proposal goes into effect.  Some of my favorite balls like the Blue Warlock, Pacific Storm, Rev-X, Amulet, and even my trusty old White Dot will all be illegal for USBC competition just because they do not have a label.  

Of course, until the proposals become official rules or specs, this may all be premature worrying but at least by all of us speaking out, USBC will get an idea of how we feel about all of their proposals.

Here's something to ponder.. In years past, at nationals, I have had a ball that didn't quite meet up to specs by their scale.. So what did they do? They pulled weight out of the side of the ball to make the ball meet standards. Now the new proposals would have that ball be considered unusable with the weight hole. The choice to drill a side hole in the ball wasn't mine. When I had the ball drilled, it met the current specs on the driller's scale and who knows.. it may have been the person weighing it at nationals, or maybe it was the driller. It was too close to really tell for sure so it ends up being grey area. Point is though that an ABC (now USBC) official put that hole there and now they're telling me that the ball is going to be unusable.

Considering a class action lawsuit is outrageous. Have you forgotten that the USBC is a NON-PROFIT organization?? What exactly to expect to get out of them?
