Title: pro shop owner question
Post by: lsf_21 on May 16, 2008, 09:28:33 AM
if you have a pro shop in a bowling center do you pay rent on the room or does the business just take a certain percentage out of your profits?

I rented the space.  The last year we had an agreement to drill league balls in exchange for rent.  I will not let a place have a percentage of my profit any other way.

Both shops within the two local bowling alleys in my area rent their respective space.

did you have that many open bowlers balls to drill? seems like you wouldnt make a profit at all drilling league balls for free, unless you mark up ball prices some.
