Pro shop professionals: Motiv HD plug
« on: August 28, 2015, 02:48:25 PM »
This stuff is absolutely legit.  It's virtually bubble free while dispensing/mixing, and the occasional few bubbles get forced out by what I'm assuming is the chemical properties/viscosity/density rather than trapped like I've seen with other plug.  It cuts very nicely, resurfaces down smoothly and flush with the ball surface.  With the softer coverstocks of today, other plug I've used has been significantly harder and would never resurface down with the cover correctly.  When plugging larger holes in two stages, drilling back through the plug down through the seam, it's bonded better.  With other plug there's been the bubble collection on top and a fairly defined seam.  This stuff drills much easier and the seam is virtually indistinguishable.  Very very highly recommend it.

Not to dog on them, but we had been using Brunswick plug, that stuff created and trapped bubbles coming out of the pump going into the cup.  I got to pumping it out and letting it rest for 5ish minutes to start warming up a bit so it wouldn't trap the bubbles, and I'd even add color to stuff I didn't need to so it would thin it out a bit to help.

I've never had that problem, just a problem with their pumps. They always seem to be a bit second rate. The color blends well for me too .I use to use Tech line and couldn't get theirs to bubble either and their pumps worked really well for me
