In the NY/NJ area what Hot is:

Total Annihilation is on FIRE!
Zone Classic is hot
The Ulitimate Inferno fire is dying out
X-factor Ace is heating up
Nemesis is Hot
Uranium has some heat!
Rule is makeing waves.
the hammer inline 4 ball is hot.

1.Storm is selling well.
 2. 5 Warp Zones in the last week-4 were in the pro shop waiting to be picked up.
 3. Power Grooves are selling also------mainly the solid one now----blue/purple color.

I forgot to post what's not hot.  Ebonite seems to be taking a back seat lately.  I haven't seen any Ebonites on the rack lately.  Well, except for my spare ball (maxim).

My observations so far this season:

Hot:  Using last year's equipment, and finding someone with a spinner to resurface it once in a while.

Not Hot:  Buying this year's equipment.

I draw no correlation between these observations and the fact that there isn't anyone nearby who runs a pro shop that knows their orifice from their patella about drilling.

In CO, I have seen a plethora of flipside shocks, along with quite a few primal instincts. The intense inferno is highly popular too now...

I'm in the same house as Lonce. Mostly Storm and Brunswick balls during the Sunday Morning league, though I have seen a few Bully's. I'm thinking about buying a Nemesis after I pay my overpriced NYC traffic ticket (grrrr).

Lonce, did KL get his Ace yet? The man gets a Storm ball every month....

Bass, yeah KL got his Ace that thing really turns "sideways" at the break. KL keeps a brotha in business. He's on that unofficial storm staff but he's a good guy though. Yeah Timmy Mack still has the Storm fever running thru the house and Brunswick has made the comeback of the decade. the morich TA is puting MO over the top "congrats" well deserved.

In the Atlanta, GA area:

Whats Hot:
Rule
Crunch Time
Power Groove Reactive
Freak-a-Zoid (getting around)
Ultimate Inferno (fizzling out)
Phenom Unleashed
Brunswick in general on the rise.

Whats Not:
Where Storm once reigned in this town, now going downhill
Columbia not as popular as when the Rock series was released
Ebonite has gone by the wayside since the V2 Sanded has come and gone
For some reason, do not see hardly any V2 Cleans and/or Sweets out there

I know I said that Columbia is not as popular as they once were about 3-5 years ago.  HOWEVER.......I do believe that Chris Barnes will have some influence on this.  You take just about the best pure talent on tour and teaming him up with Columbia.  I think if he has a good year (makes about 5 shows and can actually break the "choke" label and win 1 title), do not be surprised to see Columbia making a resurgence.  Also add in Wes Malott to that, you never know.
