All I know are the prices to drill a ball, insert finger grips, and change the surface.

Drilling is about $40 at a pro shop 30 minutes from me, the one closest to me is all about expensive prices, so I dont even wanna know the price for that.

And to insert finger grips is $12 at the pro shop 30 minutes away, and $10 at the pro shop closest to me.

And to change the surface on a ball is $5 at the pro shop closest to me, i don't know how much it is at the pro shop 30 minutes away from me, lol

But I do not go to the pro shop for anything, except one time in my life for grips. I have people to do everything for me,

I have 2 locations

Shop 1 charge $40 for conventional or plastic, $55 for fingertip, $55 plug and redrill, $15 for inserts and $15 for slug/thumb mold/thumb insert.  I mill oval thumb for all fingertip drill, unless customer request round hole.

Shop 2 I charge $35 for conventional or plastic and $50 for fingertip, $50 plug and redrill.  The rest same as shop 1.

Plug and redrill actually involve extra material and more work than blank drill, but we can do on slow time and have assistance to do it, but at least charge the same as blank drill.

We charge $30 for plastic, $40 for reactive, etc., $12 for inserts, $10 for a slug, and $35 for a plug and redrill, and $3 to clean/polish, and $5 to change surface with sanding disc or abralon pad.  Although this summer we have been researching raising our prices for drilling and plugging.

We get a few kids that have inherited mom's ball.  The boys just don't like Sally on their bowling equipment at that age.

Good luck with that....those prices are ridiculous. However, he doesn't quote a price where no fitting is involved.

69.99 for finger tip drilling is a joke, way too expensive. the pro shops here charge 48 at one place, 52, and 60 was the steepest. This is in So. Cal too.

And I think they are worth every penny.  One of only two guys I would see in MI since I stopped drilling my own.

I've seen them knock off $20 for no fitting consultation.  They seem plenty busy and have been for quite some time.

To each his own... I won't argue $ versus quality.  They get their price and this is in Detroit... home of way too many bad drill jobs, lol.  The only other qualified (in my eyes) guy in this state is priced accordingly by the time I factor in travel time and expense.
