...that your track is close by the finger holes, and that you rather roll the ball than spin/twist it. Your PAP should be about 5" over - good to know when you chose and drill balls for a proper setup.

Congratulations

5" over from WHERE exactly? I know I'm a high tracker as well as I clip the thumb on several of my balls, but never really calculated my exact PAP.

From grip center, 90°, then to your PAP's height, and then another 90° angle up or down, to reach the PAP. In rare cases the second measure is zero.

Are you sure you're clipping your thumb and not your middle finger hole?  For years I thought I occasionally hit my thumb hole, only to finally realize I was hitting the MF hole.  --  JohnP

I definitely clip my thumb. Our house puts out a ton of oil, so it's not hard to see the oil rings. None of my balls ever clip the middle finger, but almost all of them hit the thumb a little. Not sure why, but it doesn't bother me. Not like they are thumping down the lane.

I clip both the thumb and the middle finger holes.  I'd have to find out what my PAP is though....not sure.

I'd say about 6 1/4 over and up less than 1/2.  --  JohnP

Anything over 5 over is yes to this answer. I have a friend that pushes 6 1/2, his rev rate used to be 650 when he was young, now probably 520-540.

Point is he still needs pins drilled 5 inches plus or axis, leverage for him is just a ball reaction killer.

so...

if your pap is 6 1/2 over and 1/2 down,

is that considered a high tracker?
