Pro Shops/Users near Phoenix?

I've got a buddy in Phoenix who is getting back into bowling.  He has talked to me about possibly getting some used stuff plugged and redrilled and shipped to him, but I think it's going to be really cost prohibitive for him to do it that way, so I was wondering if there was anybody in or close to Phoenix that could point him to a good shop and may have some used equipment to get to him for a decent price.  All his old stuff has cracked, so he's pretty well starting from scratch and doesn't want to spend a mint getting back into it.  Thanks in advance!

Bowling Dynamics at AMF Christown-Dave Cirigliano.  A couple other locations but I'm pretty sure Dave is usually at this one.  He's had the busiest shop in the Phoenix area for over 20 years.

Revolutions at Brunswick Desert Sky-Jim Pratt.  Jim is a great guy and will bend over backwards for you.

Bowlers Advantage.  In Brunswick Mission Bell and Gilbert.  Jon Crow.  Not sure which shop he is at.  Gilbert opened after I left Phoenix.  Jon is a very underrated ball driller.

There are a few others around, but I used to drill for a few of them, so Pratt is probably the exception of people that I would let drill a ball for me that I used to drill for.

Lot of good ones in the valley.  Tony Maresca up in Scottsdale at Via Linda drills for me when I am down there.

I like http://impactbowling.com/Home_Page.php They seem to be on top of their game. Located on Bell Rd, west of Loop 101, cross road is 99th in the shopping center there on the left hand side about 3-4 stores in from the Starbucks coffee store.

Impact is probably one of the best shops in the valley. Bowl 300 inside Brunswick Tri City also pretty good from what I've seen

Who is the operator at Tri City?  Is Calderon there or at the other shop?

There have been too many pro shops to count in that bowling center since it opened.  And none of them have been able to make it work, even the guys who had the better location near the main entrance.  Good luck to them, they are going to need it.

Josh Blanchard and Craig Spencer both operate Virtue Bowling Supply out in Mesa.

And another question, any people in the Phoenix area with used equipment to unload?  My buddy was going to get some stuff from me, but shipping is going to get expensive fast.

I have a #16 ebonite challenge with fewer than 40 games but has been plugged and redrilled once. I have a #16 prodigy with about 70 - 80 games. I also have a #15 Sync with less than 60 games. He can have the #16 pounders at no cost but I'll have to charge him if he wants the Sync.

Gizmo. I'm left handed so all my bowling balls are drilled that way. I'm guessing he is right handed and goes with the majority?

Calderon is at the other shop, Larry Shaver works the one in Tri City.

I would always recommend Bowling Dynamics. I've heard some good things Virtue bowling.

Next time your at a bowling alley pick up a Desert Bowler, it has a list and ad from all the pro shops.
