Starting this summer I've switched my spare game to shooting not only pretty much straight at every single pin, as well as many 2 or 3 pin combinations, but shooting left side spares from the left side. So far all is well and good except for one thing, and I have no idea why it's a problem. I cannot pick a 4 pin. 7 pin - no problem, 2-4-5, no problem, 8 pin - no problem, 4 pin - miss left, miss right, convert about 1 in 8. It's at the point now that it's messing with my mind when I leave one. Oh, the reason for the switch in method is that this summer I'm bowling a sport shot league, running a 40 foot flat pattern, and it became apparent early on that hooking the ball at the left side (I'm a righty) was a bad idea - way too easy to hook past the corner or not get to it. Multi pin leaves were a nightmare. I open to any thoughts on this: so far I've tried going straight down the boards, throwing a slight angle from the 20 board and other variations, with no luck.
