... and thrilled ... (And I hope no one's offended because I post this.)
Last night was our annual association banquet, and as a new local director, I decided to attend. I'm not sure if all locals do this, but our men's and women's associations present "Joe" and "Betty" Bowler awards to people selected by the proprietors in our area. To my surprise, the center where I bowl and coach the juniors chose me as its Betty Bowler for 2004. I'm humbled because I'm so new to the sport, and I'm sure I haven't earned any special accolades. I'm thrilled because I didn't know they thought so highly of me and because my wonderful husband took off work in order to attend the banquet with me even though he's not into awards banquets.
Bowlers are the best people!
