Proof that you CAN actually blame the ball!

I always knew you could blame the ball for everything poor that happened, who said the bowler needs adjustment when it's always the ball's fault you stink!

So if I shoot 300 or 800 does this mean the ball's good or the bowler?????

hey u had to read my reply to people congatulating me.  it had to be the ball why I shot both my 300 and my 800

Sometimes people match up with the lane conditions, the ball surface, and the layout.  When these things happen and a bowler is on the top of his game for that night, the ABC may end up giving out awards to those people for honor scores.

I highly doubt the ball wanted to hit the headpin only...

...But for you, did the ball roll itself into the pocket 12 times in a row for the 300, or however many times needed to shoot 800?  You either had to be extremely consistent or lucky, but I think you'd need a little more skill and consistency to shoot 800...

I'm telling you now I threw 11 good pocket shots in a row, and one piss poor drop so I didn't shoot 300 that game.  I can't in no way blame the ball for not hooking back into the pocket when I threw it terribly.

So...feel good about your 800, you deserved it that night, you shot well, and did everything else to get that score.  Let everyone else know YOU shot it!

It is definitely the ball, always.  Seriously, when my ball is "in the mood" to score, no matter how many times I pitch it in the gutter, the thing leaps out, goes straight to the pocket and wham - big X on the scoreboard.

Now, when my ball is "not in the mood" to score, I'm in serious trouble.  The last time this happened, I even took my 20 gauge shotgun with me to the lane and pumped a few shells at the pins to knock them over.  Wouldn't you know it, my ball just set them right back up as it rolled through the deck?!  To cover for the pins the shotgun just blew apart, the ball actually removed intact pins from the pit of the next lane over to set up on the deck of my lane.

So remember, it is never you, it is always your ball.  Keep your ball "in the mood" to score and you'll do well.  I suggest buying only the top-notch cleaners to clean your ball with, taking your ball to dinner every now and then, giving your ball a dozen roses out of the blue for no reason, rubbing it with a nice soft towel, stroking its ego by telling it what a great ball it is....

Fencer,

I remember speaking to you about the rating system you've proposed, and I'm in favor of it.  The problem is I'm only one person, how many others would like it too?  I suggest you start your oen thread with that rating system as a topic of discussion and see how many members would "mark off" stating that they's rate the reviews.  I'm sure it could happen if enough people take it seriously.

Oh and Janderson, sometimes I cuddle with my ball next to the fireplace on those long winter nights sipping on warm hot chocolate.  I've always found that I shoot a 300 every next night I bowl in league play.

No no no!  It's only the ball, what you do doesn't matter one bit.  We have a one-legged, half-blind lobotomized chimp on my Thursday night team that averages just over 236... that's how good his ball is.

After sleeping it off I changed my original review to be fair to Storm and the Deuce itself.  I think it's easier to change a bad review afterwards than it is to change the fact that a ball return was kicked or something else got damaged out of frustration.

Yes Moondays, I agree with Fencer, and I apologize for doing this but too many bowlers blame the ball before the person behind it.

I know this accurately because before I took up bowling seriously and learned a little about this fine sport we're in, because I was just like that.
