I currently use 15# equipment but was wondering what the pros and cons of dropping down to 14# would be.
Thanks

If there is no injury involved, and you can still handle the 15lb; I wouldn't drop down. For me I had to, the pain was terrible several hours after bowling. But I do not think I carry as well with the 14lb equipment, it may be one strike a game; it's hard to say. I know I worked hard on my spare shooting all summer long to offset this, so I wouldn't drop in average. I wish I would have purchased the same equipment, but I throw mainly a 14lb Trauma Recovery and I had a 15lb Charcoal Executioner.

From my experience with this:
Pros: Little more speed, little more revs = more pin action
Cons: Too much speed = more deflection, more of a chance to leave a 5 pin.
More revs = might go high and leave some nasty splits.
I tried a Zone Pro Azure in 14lbs a couple of years ago and had these scenarios occurs from time to time. I would hit it too hard and take 4 through the face, move in 2 boards on the next shot and leave a bucket. After a while, I sold the ball and stuck to 15/16's.

If I could only pick up a 7 pin.....
