Proshop for sale
« on: July 29, 2004, 12:30:20 PM »
The guy that runs our pro-shop is wanting to sell out.  He just works it part time, doesn’t have the time available anymore.

He wants $3000 for inventory, the alley furnishes the drill press, spinner, drill bits, etc.  You would have to negotiate rental from the owner of the alley.

Small town, 16 lane house.  Probably not enough income to live off of, would be good for someone wanting some extra income.  Present operator nets around $10,000 a year working 2-3 hours a night.

If interested, send me a message for more details.

Darold, it would help if you mentioned where it is.  Not many people are going to move across the country for a $10K per year part-time job.

Yes, and I was just going to ask him where he lives (which is fairly close to me, I believe).  BUT, like seadrive said, nobody's gonna pick up and move for $10,000 a year, I make about twice that right now.  Now if the net was $30,000+ then I'd seriously consider it.  The drilling equipment would have to be fairly nice too, I'm not going to pay to inherit some trailer park piece of junk drill machine that needs a 200 page owners manual to tell you all the quirks it's taken on over the decades of decay.  I'd need to know the reputation, skill level, and in my case, age of the previous operator.  If he's a guy everybody knows and likes, is a certified driller, and is 40'ish, I'd have a hard time filling the shoes.  If not many people like him, he'll only drill certain layouts, rarely drills the ball right, and is either 70 or 18, I could look to easily improve on it.  I've got a good feel for drilling, and know a lot of things, but I still lack some more technical knowledge that most league bowlers never require the use of.

Talk to me Kegler!

No, really, I like you.  Now, by all means, feel free to go fornicate yourself with a sharp object.

Sorry guys, I thought everyone on here knew where I lived.

The shop is located about 30 miles north of St Louis, Mo.  As I mentioned, it's a little 16 lane house, I can't really see anyone making a living out of the proshop there.

Hammy I'll send you some more information.  Don't know if the guy really wants the owner to know he's thinking about leaving or not.
