Well, I made some mistakes... but I've learned from them.

So, I've been bowling for about 6 months, averaging 155, 160, not too bad. A few pretty good games, I'm getting very good at making my spares, I bowled my first clean game two weeks ago.

My ball is a 20 year old Earl Anthony Ebonite Mag-Six. Very versatile ball... I love it.

Anyhow, I've been changing my throw from a stroke to a crank and I'm sort of stuck in the middle.

For my birthday I decide to get a REALLY good particle ball. I research for a few weeks and decide the Storm X-Factor Reloaded is for me.

So, before thinking about it, I make my first mistake, I just order a 16lb Reloaded. Request a good top weight and pin length and make my move.

Then, before talking to the proper people I make my second mistake, I get it drilled... conventional drilling.

Finally, I get it back, take it out for it's first run this morning and realize the huge mistakes I have made.

The ball is too powerful, the ball is almost too heavy, the ball is drilled WAY wrong... etc.

I am going to get the ball re-drilled fingertip ASAP! But, re-drilling alone wont automatically give me the power to crank a ball.

Little did I realize before this how little ability I had. I always thought I threw hard, I always thought I was good at getting revs.

But nope... I'm a slow weak stroker.

So, all I can do is get it redrilled and try to use it somehow, otherwise I sell it now and chalk up the lost money to experience.

Anyhow, wish me luck all... I certainly appreciate all the information I've gotten here, I'll tell you one thing, NEVER again will I go into this sport without researching all angles first.
