bowling ball "out of round"/imperfection

i have been given a older well-worn reactive resin amf bowling ball and after cleaning it up it appears to have an 25cent piece sized flat spot/imperfection which is visible (i didn't notice it until i was rubbing my hand over it. it appears to be in a track. how does this happen? and is there anything that can be done to fix it? my guess is drilling a hole there and plugging it?

I Have a V2 pearl with a flat like yours, its on my wrong side so it doesn't mess with the balls movement, my proshop guy told me that there was no problem with it...

take it to your pro shop, they may be able to spot patch it,..if they're real good they can fix it...

Its not worth fixing if its that old. Just buy another ball..

Hi B,

It's only the size of a quarter?  Not a problem, can be easily be plugged and smoothened out.  The ball probably got dropped on something or rolled around in the trunk and smashed something.  Can happen anywhere really.  Hope this helps...
