Yes for the right price is important. I know many that would have no issue paying up to $300 for this ball. Money is relative for some people.

I sold the double helix (15lbs) used on ebay about two years ago with less then 5 games in mint condition and got almost $200 not including shipping. I paid $180 shipped out of Japan for it.

I had a friend who actually bought one of these back in the day. And it just so happened that his and my spans were very close. So I had the opportunity to throw one of these. I don't think I shot under 650 with it when I threw it, lol. It just seemed to work for me....but I couldn't afford $300 for a ball back then....hell I can't afford that now even, lol. I had secretly always hoped he'd just give it to me, but hard to just give away a $300 ball. I think wound up selling it to someone....either that, or knowing him, it wound up in the river one night on the way home after league, lol.

If you will check the listing you will find that someone has actually put in a bid on that ball....the current bid is $750.00............if you have the money so be it, but it makes me wonder if someone is paying that much just to have a museum quality display piece to showcase, or would someone really pay that much money so they could actually drill up the ball and use it?   

 About a year or more ago I ended up buy a used Double helix from ebay---it ended up being a 15 rather than 16(my weight), but I got it cheap --I won it for about 12 bucks--why??? because it was cracked...it had about a 6+ in crack..but I read up on how to repair a crack in a ball online, and fixed it. I purposely bought this right handed model although I am a lefty because I wanted to experiment...I had my proshop guy drill it so that It would hit most of the urethane part on the backend of the lane to try and get a tamer reaction  than I was getting with most anything else at the time, and the ball was still very aggressive and much stronger than I expected it to be.

i sold one of these nib on ebay for 450 shipped a few years back..i believe i got it for 100 shipped...so i got a pretty good return on my money. It was a light 16 but i threw 15 so i didnt drill it but i sure was tempted..
