Top Weight question
« on: November 28, 2009, 05:09:22 AM »
Hi All!  I was wondering whats a good top weight and pin distance for a ball thats is going to be used for medium to dry conditions? Right handed bowler with a 14 to 15 mph speed. Medium revs. Thanks for the help!  Oh, using a 15 lbs ball.

Light hits wont do any good if the pins are all
in the pit.

There really are no "set" specs for something like that.  Most of it depends on what you want the ball to do and what conditions you play on.  What one bowler calls medium, another might refer to as either dry or oily.

In general, a topweight of around 3oz and a pin distance of 2-3 gives the driller more versatility to manipulate the physics of the ball.
