please help with this rule.
situation: league night, team A (3 players) bowls against team dummy.
start of the third frame, the first bowler fouled, he fell and touched the lane with his hands, the score was not erased immediately (changed to 0) and they proceeded to bowl. another team, who bowled beside them, let a league officer know about the foul, by the time the officer got to the lane, team A were on the 5th frame. the officer erased every score (all the bowlers) after the foul.
lets put the side stories aside, my question is, what the officer did was right or wrong? what does the rule say about it?
--------------------
When a house bowler misses the mark, misses the break point and strike, for many ppl its called a wallshot. When a pro does that its call adjustment
When a house bowler gets his finger stuck in the ball and fall on the lanes, for many ppl its called lame bowler. When a pro does that its called the Machuga flop! ha i like this one.

I could not find any rule that addresses this specific situation. The closest I could fins is if there is a dispute over if a foul was committed or not. In that case a provisional ball is rolled at a full set of pins. If the board of directors concludes a foul was committed then the score is changed to show the provisional ball pin count.
I have never heard of 2 frames of scores being erased over a foul. I would think the officer was wrong. In the case a bowler bowls on the wrong lane and successive bowlers also bowl on the wrong lane, the scores stand. You might want to check with your local association for clarification.

I think what the officer did was wrong. Even if the score for that bowler in that frame was wrong, there's no cause to erase other scores after it for that bowler. Modern scoring systems automatically recalculate scores when a previous frame is altered.
And there was absolutely, definitely no cause to erase other bowlers' scores. The officer either doesn't understand how the computer system works, which, to me, is unacceptable for a league officer, or is a moron, which, to me, is unacceptable for a league officer.
Did you rebowl those frames? Did that change the final scores? Did it change the points won in the end?

it was not my team
the officer didnt only erase the frames, but also did not provide a clear explanation of his action, causing that team to quit the league.
i'll send an email to the CTF, and have them deal with that issue, cuz the team that quit are friends of mine

That officer should be asked to step down.

Call USBC rules department to get clarification and what the remedy would be since the league games had been completed.

Id like to point out that the bowler that fouled cheated and as such recieves 0 for that frame.

ohh yea, thats no doubt, what im arguing is that, his other frames and his teammate frames were all legitimate, and should not be erased of his foul
