Most unlike me to have kewl things happen at the bowl but...
1) I spared the 7-10 for the FIRST TIME. Cant beleive its taken me so long. What is more weird, is that when i let go of the ball i thought... hrmm thats got a fair chance... and boom, down it went, bounced it out the back.
2) 1 game later i spared the big 4. I've done this a few times, but this is what made it great. There is this coach at the bowl, he is always there, and he isn't my coach. He puts on his shoes and starts bowling, and i leave the 7-10... he laughs... i spare it... he gets annoyed. Then i left the big 4 and he goes... HAH! spare that!!!... nuff said.
3) I almost shot 300... NO THUMB!.... I had front 7... then stoned a 10 pin.. ouch!
4) Cara Honeychurch, Maxine Nabel, and Carol Gionotti-Block, all being australian, were over here for a tournament, and were helping out a development camp, which was at the center i was bowling in today. They were all sitting with my old coach who was involved in the development camp, having lunch.
Anyway, i was bowling like right infront of them, and i was carvin it up. Anyway, cara said to my coach... "Whos that guy?"
"Oh thats matty smith, awesome bowler (yea i wish), i used to coach him"
"Dang, hes got a hell of a shot, hes gonna be good one day.."
I WAS STOKED WHEN I OVER HEARD THAT! someone who i have looked upto(even though she is like a foot shorter then me) thought i was good. LOL, I'm actually glad i went bowling today. First time in a long time. Just thought i would share...
