Question about surface
« on: March 14, 2009, 12:03:07 PM »
I'm bowling in a tournament next month in a house with wood lanes.
Last year at the same house by the end of the day the lanes were toast.
The weakest ball I have is a Tropical Storm. Which was way too strong that day.
I don't want to buy a new ball, and was wondering if you guys had some suggestions on surfacing the Tropical? Right now it is OOB at 1500.

Thanks in advance.

Take the ball to 4000 abralon and then put a high gloss polish on it.  If your pro shop has Fineese-It have them use that.  You might also think about trying a plastic ball if you have one.  Good Luck.

If I take it to 4000 can it be brought back down to 1500?
And will I get the same reaction that I have now?
The ball works great at my regular house.
