Title: Question About Ultimate Inferno?????????????
Post by: Brandon2369 on March 23, 2005, 04:07:29 AM
I just bowled with it for the first time today, and i was a little puzzled about the pin action.  It rolls perfectly and finds the pocket no matter what line but the backend is just not there/??? Why do you think this is happening??

Backend gone?  Three reasons I can think of.

1.  You are overthrowing the ball.  Too much speed for the revs doesn't allow the ball to finish.

2.  Oil carrydown will not let the ball finish.

3.  The ball is too agressive for the oil left on the lanes.  It is burning up before it gets to the pins.

Most of the time it is #3.  Especially if the ball hooks strongly in the midlane area.  By the time it gets to the pins, all the energy needed to hook is used up.  The only solution I know is polishing the ball more so it keeps some energy for the back of the lanes.

Thank you so much for the great information and help.  I believe possibly a little bit of 1 and a whole lot of three is going on here.  I was also hitting alot of 9 counts.  Yeh, the lanes were really dried up so yeh I believe it was getting burnt up like you expressed.  If I were bowling league on fresh lanes it would be a different story I hope.
I guess time will tell.
