Title: Question for BTM readers
Post by: Magic Carpet on December 03, 2009, 05:29:03 AM
Would you guys do me a favor and dig out your November issue (everyone should have that one)and look at the 3D Ball Comparison chart (pages 24-25). The cover is about dominant eye if that helps you find it.

Look at the balls on the chart that you have thrown and post if you tend to agree with the placement on the chart or not. For example, if you have three balls on the chart would you rank them about the same way (not price just length and hook)on the chart and in relation to each other.

I know that it is all subjective and was just wondering how the charts match what you see.

Bowl great!

I have 3 of the balls on that chart and I'd say they're approximately correct. I'd only make slight modification on the length of 2 of them.

The chart itself is not good, to be polite.

The chart seems to be hit and miss. I have several balls on the current list that do not seem to be correct while others are. Examples of incorrect ones are Columbia 300 Freeze actually covers more boards than the Track 715A for me, even with both drilled for length. Not to mention that my Storm Natural seems to out hook both of them. Of course, that might be a surface property.

Given that the chart can only show the three dimensions, I can't say how it could be improved though.
