Mass bias in the thumbhole

I found that my Raw Hammer Psycho is drilled with the mass bias in the thumbhole.

Is this normal?

The Psycho is a symmetric cored ball, so it doesn't have a marked mass bias... It should not matter at all

That was my thinking, but I was in a pro shop tonight(my equipment is not drilled there) and one way or another, we got to talking about my ball, and the drilling.  It was weighed and whatnot, and the pro shop operator and another guy in there both laughed when it was found that the mass bias was located in the thumbhole.  I'm no expert on drillings and was curious if they had a valid point, or if they were just wanting to act like my ball is no good because it wasn't drilled there.

From what I have been told, once your ball is drilled, that the Thumbhole becomes your mass bias.  The marking of the mass bias only applies before you punch holes in it.

It is a theory that the mass bias on a symmetric ball is located on a line drawn from the pin through the cg---approximately 6 3/4" from the pin. But this has also been shown to be incorrect by the use of a Determinator.  So there is no way to know for sure if the theoretical mass bias was located in your thumb hole.

My Solid LEVrg is drilled like that, seems to pull the track a bit higher and with that long distance from pap it smooths the backend out a lot.
