Is anyone using the IT thumbs
« on: November 05, 2008, 01:47:57 AM »
Just wondering if anyone is using the IT thumbs and what they think of them. I just started using them and they are great! they dont twist like the other ones when you throw the ball or at least i dont feel them twisting like i do with the grip lock or wutever the other was.

Ask Dan Belcher.

I use Turbo SwitchGrips and have for 2 seasons. My driller hasn't gone to the IT yet and may not.

OT:  Are you going to be in Madison for tourney this weekend?

I'm bowling Sr. City both days this weekend but I'll try and make it to BAV later Sat. afternoon.  You are coaching one of my team mates son on "B" team.

Best changeable thumb product out there.  Great for players that have swelling issues when they bowl frequently, trouble with a consistent fit and for people that drill a lot of balls.

In the past where I have bowled for consecutive days, my thumb swells and I have to open the thumb holes, then when I get back to regular bowling it doesn't fit, the IT prevents this from happening.  Just carry multiple sizes, I have 6.

Another plus, if you make a mistake in the fitting or working out the thumb hole, you just throw it away and start over, you don't have to reslug.

If you drill a new ball, you don't have to work out the thumb, just glue the grips, put in the IT thumb and off you go, perfect "feel" every time.

or you just have to adjust one slug instead of all of them

the only downfall is not being able to change pitches in different thumbs, but other than that they are great no complaints

not sure of initial cost to the shop but i get charged 15 bucks to put the system in and 10 bucks for each thumb, but i get a little discount, i think most are like 20 and 15 which to me isnt terrible
