How many lbs and oz then it will be counted as a low 15lbs? Just making a research so next time When I buy ball I'm able to drill it down to 14lbs. :-)

And ... What could replace the skin patch-up liquid? Just thinking whether it have other alternatives?

I would consider anything drilled from 14 lb 9oz  to 15lb 8 oz a 15lb ball. Virtually all balls will come within 2 to 3 oz of an even pound undrilled only a few odd lots come in ½ pounds.

You will generally loose around 3 oz while drilling, depending on number of holes, size, etc.

We use super glue for protecting skin. It doesn’t burn and comes off pretty easy after a few hours.

If you're protecting - not patching - use the vise-grip tape.

dev -- The following is copied from bowlersbargains.com.  I don't know if it's an industry standard or just how they classify their ball weights.  --  JohnP

Half/Heavy Weights
M = Medium which are 5-9 ounces, ie 15M is 15.5 through 15.9 oz
H = Heavy which are 10-13 ounces, ie 15H is 15.10 through 15.13 oz

You can try using HypaFix tape for the thumb.  If you want to try a sample, PM me.  There used to be a topic for it.  I dont know if the Search feature will find it now.

Thanks guys. Haha, wonder will super glue burn off my opened blister?

Btw, plugging a ball I wouldn't gain weight right?

Guess I will just stick to the same old patch-up liquid.

Oh ya, any of ya guys know about negative weight drilling? Heard that the way of drilling it will make the ball feel lighter in hand. Haha.
