Had a scare tonight.
« on: October 10, 2012, 01:55:00 AM »
I got into the tenth frame of my second game, was feeling pretty good. Stuck at the line on the first shot, but managed to get the ball out. Too far out, but out. Got pins. On the spare shot, shooting at the 1,2,4. Got into my backswing, and stopped feeling my hand. Couldn't feel anything as I went through, so my timing went out the window, and the ball just floated out.

My hand went totally numb for a moment. As soon as the shot was over I had feeling back, but that scared the hell out of me. I haven't been gripping the ball, have been getting a much better release as of late, so this was out of the blue for me.

Anyone else have this happen?

When my span was longer and i was grabbing the ball more, i had this issue from time to time. Now that ive shortened the span, less grab so in 3 months no finger pain, thumb issues or numbness. Check to also see if maybe you just so happened to put your fingers in the ball too deep. Ive done that on a few occasions, not thinking, and had numbing.

That may have been it, the going in too deep. I had to take the tape piece out because I had a little swelling, nothing unusual, and next shot it happened. So probably the extra space and such. Hadn't thought about that o.o
