Questions About Shoes
« on: March 29, 2016, 12:49:32 PM »
I've got a pair of Linds Classics and have been wondering; what do you use on the sole of your non-sliding shoe to make it less slick?  Scenario; When on the approach and stepping off and I push off with my right foot, sometimes it feels like it's going to slide out from underneath me.  What I've done in the past is to lightly brush the sole with my shoe cleaning brush, which helps, but is that the right way?  Or is there a better way?  And can bowling shoes be resoled?  Mainly wondering about the felt (or whatever it is) on the slide shoe.  If so, do you have to send them back to the manufacturer (in this case, Linds) or can any shoe repair shop do the job?  And is it worth the cost?

Thanks!!

I used to have a pair of Dexter turbos when I was a struggling student. I took my shoe to a shoe shop and have them place a rubber sole. Go to an Asian shoe shop, $10! I still go to one and they do awesome work for less.
