Questions on the Cell
« on: April 06, 2008, 05:46:42 AM »
Is anyone experiencing any problems with there cell with the (oob) surface.Right now im your average tweener bowler standing 25 and throwing out to 8.My ball is starting its roll alittle to quickly.Thinking about polishing up and would it make a difference?Or should i just move and speed the ball up? Any suggestions would be helpful.

Hard to say..

How is it drilled?

What type of condition are you using it on??

Can you move deeper into the oil more??

The Cell by nature is early, and a strong ball so need some oil in the front part of the lane that is for sure...

Lefty,

What kind of 7's??

Again without seeing one bowl hard to say..

Could be not enough oil up front to help the ball retain energy...

Could be the ball is getting there too late...

Many reason....have to give us more information to try and help you out...

Things like...

Lane Condition
Where on the lane you are playing
Where others are playing
What is the drill pattern and surface of your Cell
What are other bowlers throwing...

Then we can get somewhere..

its drilled leverage and i do have room to move deeper.Today was the 1st time trying it on a ths shot. The lanes were synthetic but kind of old.I must admit that i've had better success in my pba  experience league in which there is more oil.But once again i bowl more on ths shots and if the ball is going to burn up in the heads, would polish help it.

Shacky,

Leverage drill on the Cell means really strong and would need a bunch of oil..

I agree with Jason..

First take it to 4000 grit Abralon and see how that helps..

If still rolling too early.....then try a touch of polish....that should also help...

I had some trouble with my first Cell being to much ball for must patterns. I got a second one and drilled it with the pin 3 inches up. If you drill this thing anywhere close to strong you will have it starting its turn at 30 feet.
