Just one thing I noticed, there should be more time between check in / practice / start.  How much time are you planning on giving between practice and start time?  Because you'll have to re-oil them between practice and competition.

I would do a 6 game qualifying, cut 20% 3 game match play with 10 bonus pins a game if you win, 0 if you lose. top 5 step ladder finals.

The scratch tournaments in my area either do a 4 or 6 game qualifying round (usually depends on time considerations), then cut to the top 12 or 16 depending on total entry numbers. The bowlers are then ranked based on qualifying scores and bowl a 2-game total pinfall match to cut the field in half. It's then stepladder finals based on the overall total pinfall up to that point. If taking the top 16 instead of 12, there usually is another 2-game pinfall round after the first to get from 8 bowlers down to 4. Then it's stepladder's once again. This format works especially good on tough conditions (PBA shots), because the lanes change so rapidly, bowlers must make adjustments in the 2-game matches. This eliminates the chance of someone getting locked-in for 1 game and cruising to the finals. Clint

Your prize fund listing of $1,120.00 ( I know just an example)but the prizes you have in place only add up to $970.00,  am I to assume the other $150.00 is for tournament expenses, and if so, you should list that so someone wont say something and causes a big stink in front of everyone

And note to all those playing....
Experience patterns typically play harder than the reality, due to Sport Shot compliance...

But ya, if I could I would-but I can't, I don't live in NH....

Hmmm...you need to check your abbacus:

400 + 250 + 170 + 100 +(50x4) = 1120 (prize fund) + 480 (linage) = 1600

I am taking a little bit off of the linaage each tournament for time and expenses. Its my dad's center so I;m getting a break on the linage. But everyone know up front I am taking a cut for myself, otherwise it wouldent be worth my time.
