There are two ways possible. One is to click on the icon next to the time posted - reply with quote. The other is more time consuming use the open bracket key the word quote then close bracket. Retype what you want to quote then open bracket backslash quote close bracket.

Look at the top of the post you want to quote, drag you mouse over the item next to the time posted. It will show up as reply with quote.
You would have thought CB, being a school teacher, would have explained it better.
