Rank the 4 EBI brands....
« on: January 03, 2013, 09:49:15 AM »
I thought it would be interesting to get feedback from those on here as to how you rank Ebonite, Track, C300 and Hammer in terms of equipment, customer service, quality, and just overall perception of each indivudual brand, with a rank of 1-4 with 1 being the best, and 4 being the bottom.

Also, maybe add condensed comments as to why you put what brand in what spot...we have a company only site that is a great feedback tool with alot of folks who work for EBI, and I feel this would be a great way to give them feedback on what/how their customers past and present perceive the brands...

Thoughts??

I find topics like this kind of funny.  It's like asking which car division of GM do you like better, Cadillac, Chevy, Buick, or GMC?  Yeah, they have their price points and style differences but in the end they all use the same engines (cores), get there tires from the same place (shells), and alot of the time they are built in the same plant (EBI).  But it's fun to read why certain people before certain brands (marques) over another.
Long Gone also posts the honest truth which is why i respect him. He posts these things knowing some may not like it.

Based off of sales and staff members in this area along with personal experience.

1.a   Hammer
1.b   Track
3.     Columbia
Last  Ebonite

It all comes from the same place and yet for some reason you can't give away the EBI stuff around here.
…… you can't  add a physics term to a bowling term and expect it to mean something.

In my area Hammer is by far the #1 brand. My Hammer sales beat the other 3 EBI brands combined.

In terms of product quality I see them this way:

Hammer....Taboos and Vibes....sold a ton, people keep wanting more. New colors and reactions keep the shelf appeal.

Track....lots of good equipment from a technical standpoint just tough to get customers to take a chance. Great shelf appeal too.

Columbia...The Freeze and White Dot keep this brand alive. I am not saying that the other lines are "bad" balls but they just do not get the attention of other mid-line balls.

Ebonite...The One, Playmaker and Gamebreaker made this brand one to watch and then Kelly and the Mission kept them in the game. The new stuff? Not so exciting in my experience.

Again, just my experience.
