I like IT.  Screws 3/4 turn then locks in place.  Turbo has two tabs that prevent the thumb from coming out with a 1/4 turn. From what I have heard/seen if the tabs break the thumb sleave can come out..
In the IT even if the thumb comes unlocked you still have to rotate it quite a bit before the thumb would come out. Only way the IT would come out is if the molly pulled loose from the bottom of the thumb hole or the male screw part came off the bottom of the slug. The IT has kind of a 2 for 1 locking mechanism. The IT just seems stronger to me.  I don't know too much about how the turbo 2n1 recepticle is fixed in the thumb hole but the IT system seems pretty solid.  It seem like the only reason for failure would be an improper installation.

Thanks for the response.

I just got three used balls, all with the Turbos. I used Tom's Thumbs for a while but they got to be too onerous in changing them out, and after time seem to wear lose, so I have gone to using vise pro v2 ovals for the last 10 balls or so.

I may just plug the balls, and use the pro v2s. About the same cost in the end if you don't count the cost to plug the balls.
