rebates or incentives -- do they entice you to buy?

Does the rebate or special incentive ( free ball, etc) determine if you buy that ball verses a ball that you may really want? i can see how this would affect sales, and why would you not want to get something for free, or less expensive than you are already paying. but do you opt out for the gimmick or get what you really want, unless of course what you do want has the incentive.

Nope! If the ball is not useful to me.....why buy it? Regardless of offer. I might buy it to re-sell it later. That's about it, though.

If I'm debating between two "similar" balls and I'm definitely buying ONE of them. I'll take the one that has a rebate or a free second ball.

Like BackInTheGame said, when I needed a strong solid, the rebate for the Alpha Max swung me in that direction. I won't buy a ball I don't need (anymore), but a rebate helps if its for a ball I do need.
