I am looking at getting a drill press for my home to start drilling my own stuff and was wondering if anyone has them and what kind you use?

or what kind would work best for this.

You can get an X,Y axis jig that are simple to use fairly cheap and will work with almost any bench top style drill press you can purchase from lowes or HD.

You can get used drill bits on ebay fairly cheap on ebay, and having them sharpen through Jayhawk is pretty cheap to do as well. Or you can go small and just by some of the individual drill bits for the sizes you regular use and add more later if needed.

Most of this can all be found used on ebay.

So what kind of specs should I be looking for, not looking into the mill press, just a standard one for now?

I think I found the one one the innovatie standard package, but its a floor model and not the bench model, is there any benefit to the floor or the bench?

The bench drill press from Innovative with standard jig looks like a nice starter package. Shop I used to work at had a Jayhawk that I didn't care for. The clamps with the flip-lock to them or the head itself would kick when you hit the core. Made ball finish around slugs look bad.

Just bought an AMF vacu-jig for my shop and couldn't be happier. The inside of the hole is like glass and slugs go in soooo smooth. Seen a used one floating around for just under $4000 but it is well worth it for the machine that it is.
