Surprises
Break Out - Gr8 rolling solid

Disappointment
Bounty Hunter and Bounty Hunter Pearl - Never really matched up well at all.

Onyx Vibe - Over or under all day long and I love the Blue Vibe.

Surprise:  Faball Blue Hammer.  How could such an old ball hit so hard and outperform some of my new, top shelf stuff?

Disappointment:  Storm HyRoad.  Loved my T-Road Pearl, so I expected to love the HyRoad with the same drilling but more surface.  It rolled great and the pins exploded on contact.  But they didn't fly low and I didn't strike as much as my T-Road Pearl.  I experimented with different surfaces and different lane conditions and never could get the same carry as the other ball.

I love the Rogue Cell and its still going strong 200 games in. Big surprise to me.

As far as disapointment, I will stay in the brand. I hear people talk about how great it is but the Mars I have will not turn an inch no matter what I do to it.

I never throw Brunswick, but I punched up a Rattler.  HUGE Surprise.  Great ball!

Disappointment would be the Jigsaw.  I'm pro Hammer too.  I put up a couple decent sets with it, but for the most part, after the first couple weeks with it, it was a dud for me.

Little background....until recently, ive thrown storm/roto exclusively for 2+ years, lately i havent seen anything that makes me want to buy it, so ive strayed

Surprise - Mission & C-system 3.5.... the 3.5 is nearly as long as my fast is, which was a HUGE surprise in itself, but watching it come off the dry is a big deal to me, considering big B always rolled REALLY early for me

Dissapointment - Storms latest releases, other than the Fast & Natural, i havent seen 1 single ball that made me say "i really want/need that".

Surprises:  TX1, Striking Motion. These were way better for me than what I expected and what most folks around here had to say about them.

Disappointment:  None, really. It's all about the matchups.

Surprise - Reign. I expected it to be hard to control because it creates so much angle on the backend, but it is the most predictable skid/flip ball I''ve ever thrown.

Disappointment - Mutant Cell. This ball is much longer and more angular than I anticipated, even with a strong drill layout. However, it is incredibly condition-specific and needs tons and tons of head oil. I can only throw it for about 6 frames before it stops reacting consistently and begins burning up, even when lightly polished. However, putting more than a light coat of polish on it turns it into a dart. I''m hoping that it''ll be good for the Shark pattern and maybe the Scorpion in my PBA league, but it hasn''t served me much use yet on any sport patterns I''ve tried it on.

Edit -- I finally got to roll this on the Chameleon pattern the other night in practice.  One lane had been used lightly, and the other lane had been burnt up pretty badly.  The ball rolled great on both lanes, and opened up some area since it recovered so well down lane.  Apparently for me, this ball just needs longer oil, but not a heavy volume of it.  Looking forward to seeing how it does in my PBA Experience league, but still kinda disappointed I can''t use this ball at all on a house shot under any circumstances really.

Surprise:  Storm Natural.  Used it this week on Cheetah and it hooked much earlier and much harder than I expected.  Had to switch to a Hammer Rayzr which worked much better.  The Natural works great on local THS which are  much longer than Cheetah and of course have the standard walled oil line to provide hold.

Disappointed:  None.  Use Storm.  Never got a bad ball from them ever.
