Title: Release question

When you purchase something from an online proshop, and the release date is say, March 1st, are they supposed to send it out on the 1st or 2nd or whenever they feel like it? I always thought if the release date is the 1st, they send it out on the 1st.

Release date is from the distributors.  Not all online retailers drop ship all their orders.  So if the item is going to a retailers warehouse before it shipped to you it may not go out release day.
