One of the alleys around here that had closed quite a number of years ago - first turned into a rock bar dance place, then into a combo rock/country dance place - surprise, surprise, they had so many fights in the parking lots that they were finally shut down permanently.  Gee, who couldn't have guessed that rockers and $hitkickers wouldn't get along?  Well, they are reopening it as a bowling alley but with only 20 lanes and NO leagues at all at any time.  Only rock and bowl, cosmic bowl, country bowl, cyber bowl, practice or whatever but No leagues.  It will be interesting to see if the stance against leagues holds which, of course, depends on what type of crowds and how many they can attract with "FUN" bowling only.  I'll keep you updated on this development.
