Explain this...
« on: November 14, 2004, 12:59:33 PM »
If Lonnie Walicek is on the Circle pro staff, why was he throwing Brunswick on today's telecast?? Unless Brunswick owns or makes Circle, that I can understand. But why wouldnt he have thrown their own product??

I thought the same thing, but the only answer I could come up with myself was that maybe he is on the clothing end of things for Circle?

HAHA Lane.

But if my minsd serves me correct, doesn't Brunswick pour for circle?  And if so he was throwing the Big B because Circle has no low end pieces, all their eqipment is made to HOOK.  Not something you want on a 35 ft pattern.  I guess circle said hey the shirt is a start and would rather see Lonnie do well with a Brunswick piece than stink it up with Circle's ball.

Uhh...  Last I heard Storm manufactured Circle equipment.  No clue as to why LW wasn't using their stuff on the show.  Not like he could have done much worse with it, eh?

As far as Circle equipment being made to HOOK, I think the Xception is as much a ball as any of Circle's equipment, if not more.  I realize that WRW probably wasn't doing a lot to the ball, but the proper drill on Super Hero (med-hi RG, med diff. particle pearl)  could have worked just fine on Cheetah.  I'm sure LW just felt more comfortable with his old X Zone (TE#3 perhaps?) on that wood surface.
