Title: Returning after injury break and forced to throw 13lb...need help
Post by: Cyril The Syrup on October 07, 2013, 12:17:32 AM
Returning after 6 mths break because of tendon problem in shoulder/arm and have been advised to drop to 13lb ...at least to begin with. Im needing advise on which brands/balls have the same cores in 13 lb as the heavier balls do.
Also, how to drill a lighter ball? Im guessing you wouldnt want to drill a lighter ball too weak.
Thanks guys.

I think most brunswick stuff (if not all) has the same or at least similar cores down to 12lb. I've been trying to use 14lb this year with pretty miserable results. The ball changes direction very quick (my roll blows right now and I know it's me) and it is hard to control. I suggest be careful on how strong you drill it.

Motiv uses same core.

There were a couple others where I noticed 13 lbs specs not outrageously different from 14-16.  Can't remember off the top of my head (was looking a couple weeks ago for my son). I wanna say C300 and Track.  Check it out.

I apologize if I appear to be insulting, but I would be interested in knowing who
advised you to drop down to 15 lbs.  I don't see much difference in the swing weight
between a 13 or 14 pound ball.  Correct me if I am wrong.
