Legal or Illegal

I have a ball that is cracking above the ring finger.  I found out that it will be covered by warranty, but I will not receive its replacement until next week.  In the mean time, I have super glued the crack to prevent it from worsening.  This ball is my go to ball, so I don't want to shelve it for the weekend, especially since I am going to the Hoinke this coming weekend. My question is, if I shoot a score high enough requiring them to check my equipment, will my ball be considered illegal for having super glue on it?  Some of it remains on the surface at the cracked area.

That would be a tough one I don't know the exact rule, but I would talk to the shop you are getting the replacement through and see if they can't hook you up with one they have in stock now and you give them the one you have coming in.  I don't know that I would want to take the chance.

Card,
This ball is currently out of stock at my shop.  If I had to I could wipe the surface clean, but it may end up taking most of the glue out of the crack.  Before I did so I wanted to make sure it would be illegal.  Being over my ring finger, it's obviously no where near my track.  But, I think it generally doesn't matter where it is when it comes to foreign substances on the ball's surface.  Anyone have any idea?

Why not get a bit of scothbrite or even very fine sandpaper and gently remove the excess off the surface.
I know you shouldnt use it, but drillers usually remove excess dry super glue with acetone. Got to be real careful that you use only a very tiny drop or you will remove the glue from the crack though as you say.

Seeing as this is your goto ball,
if you have the money I would buy
another one and have it shipped overnight.
Then when your replacement comes in you can either
sell it, or keep it, because it doesn't hurt to more than one
of your goto ball for a spare.  Hell I got 3 of my goto ball
two drilled, and one in the closet, and thinking aboubt one more.

O,
Go ahead and super glue the crack, clean it by folding a paper towel into fourths put some acetone on it an lightly wipe until clean. Super gluing the crack is no more illegal than drilling and plugging the crack with ball filler.
