why don't bowlers try...
« on: January 23, 2009, 12:31:25 AM »
Different companies and equipment? Also why do people who have never tried say MoRich for example some people try to run the stuff into the ground and they have never tried it, why?

I really don't understand it you might find something you like with another company. Alot of guys around throw Storm or Ebonite and nothing else. Didn't parents teach bowlers you have to try something before you can say you like it or not?

Bowling balls are expansive.... so most people probably just 'stick with what you know' (the brand that you've been matching up best)

I've tried different stuff over the past years but have found that I tend to have more confidence with Storm/Roto Grip.

I think a lot of it comes down to confidence.  Balls aren't cheap and when you find a company or companies that you have confidence with, a lot of people will tend to stick with what they feel good about.

Bowlers do try different companies when they have the money. I've tried MoRich, Ebonite, Hammer, Brunswick, Columbia, Storm.  Every company releases so many balls that to try them all, it would get very very expensive.  The best matchup or company for me has been Columbia.  When I have money to get a ball, I go with that companies latest and greatest.

I wish I did have the money to try all the different balls out there.  Heck, like someone has on their signature.

"There's a 300 in one of those balls out there".

This also brings up a different question, "How can some of these people accuratly RATE bowling balls is they have never bowled with it?"
