Title: revolving the ball
Post by: BornToBowl on December 25, 2003, 10:29:02 PM: I need some help on revolving the my ball on the lane. I've been trying to learn how to revolve my ball so it will be faster. I'm probably a slow rev bowler. So any "good and truly work" advice would be appreciated.

Post by: TheBowlingKid25 on December 26, 2003, 11:01:42 PM: Also, I am surprised no one said this but maybe you dont have the right kind of ball. I mean obviously any ball with enough revs on it will hook, but what kind of ball do you have? It helps a bundle to know what your tossin to help ya out.

Because with my slow revolution rate. I can't throw the ball any faster than 12 miles per hour. other wise it will not do its job. So yeah. Any other advices would be greatly appreciated!!! Post by: TravisG on December 27, 2003, 01:43:20 AM: If you want to throw it faster you don't really need more revs. Just hold the ball higher as you start your approach and then that should let you have a higher backswing and then that should help get more speed out of the ball.

What I was talking about wasn't that I want to throw my ball faster. what I was saying was that I have slow rev rate. so if I throw the ball too fast then my ball won't hook. THanks anyway. Any other advice on how to put more revolutions on the ball would be appreciated!!!!! thanks again guys!!!! You all are great!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont know if this applies to you, but I found that the higher your backswing, to get more speed, the harder you turn your hand at the end naturally. This works for me,dont know if it will help you at all.
