Suggestions for new ball
« on: December 04, 2015, 06:49:14 AM »
Friend of mine is looking to replace his 706A.  He has a slower ball speed with low revs, and plays a simple down/in shot. The 706A worked well for him. IMO -  he will need a ball that saves the energy for the back end. These are the balls I am thinking of suggesting for him.  Hyroad  -- Wrecker -- Rocket -- Skyrocket.  What do you think? Any brand is ok.

I don't have any particular balls to recommend but I think what you are asking is too generic and too common a question.  Everyone wants a ball that saves energy on the backend.  Who wants to have a ball use all the energy up 40 feet down the lane?  Also, any ball can fit your friend's requirements given the right surface prep and drilling while fitted to the right oil conditions.  I think most people will say any mid-level to lower tier line since these balls are assumed to not hook much since they don't cost as much as premium level balls.  However, no matter how slow and how low the revs, if there is zero oil 10 boards from the gutter, most balls won't work given his playing style.  I'm currently looking at Rhino Pro Gold ($85 online) because I think I can dominate with something so prehistoric on today's league shot.  I'm also looking at Pyramid equipment because if my experience tells me anything and I assume like with any other industry, cheaper doesn't mean worse, I might be able to show the rest of the league why a $100 ball can look like a $300 down the lane.  I probably didn't answer your question lol.  But at least I tried when no one else would hehe.

If you want to stay in the Track Vein I would suggest the Tour X or the The Heat. Both are going to be a more delayed reaction similar to the 706a. Nothing is going to be the exact same but close...
