Dick Weber pattern

Not sure how many people have been able to bowl on this pattern yet, but I bowled a tournament on it this morning, and here are my thoughts:

I usually am not a fan of shorter patterns, or patterns that do not have a build up of oil in the middle of the lane, and unfortunately this experience did not help that.  I noticed that the pattern is 39 feet in length, but was shocked at how little hold there was in the middle of the lane even from the beginning of practice.  Throughout the 6 games I tried a few different things, but what I found was avoiding the dry middle of the lane was the best strategy for me.  At about the 4th game, if I moved inside a bit, and just caught the oilier outside to push the ball down the lane a bit, I was ok, but the best line was standing at around 20-21, and hitting 12 or so with my Rogue Cell.  This pattern reminded me a bit of Cheetah, but with a little more oil on the outside.  Again, these are not my favorite patterns, but I was happy to pull a 200 out in the last game, and if I do run into this pattern again in the future, I'll have a better idea of how to attack it.
