Rings

I just received my first ring.  What is the proper etiquette in wearing a ring when bowling?

Do you wear them? Don't wear them bowling?  what do you do?

Good call.  I've seen this happen to other people at least two or three times!  Mine gets put away in my pocket whenever I'm bowling.

I never wear mine..

I keep them all in a cabinet in the living room with me and my wife's collectibles. I have 1 gold 300 and 800 and the rest are the cheap free ones. I know a guy that wears his rings on every finger when he bowls and it looks really tacky to me, but hey whatever floats your boat!!

The only ring I wear daily is my wedding ring.. Just don't see a need to wear any other ring..

Just my opinion..

Now that's a sweet ring.  I meet one of the Super Bowl 3 Jets and he let me try on his ring. It was beautiful with all the emeralds and diamonds in it. Nothing beats a Super Bowl ring.

I wish I had my 1st 300 game ring... from 1977 (last year the free gold ring and real ruby/diamond). I would wear it only because it was really cool looking. But I have gold 300's and 800's and dont wear them. Today's rings seem so flashy not stylish. I wish USBC would go back to the look of the 60's and early 70's.

I had my only (so far) 300 game in the summer of 1973 and got the gold ring with the real stones.  Boy, was I proud of it, wore it all the time for about a month.  Then I was working with some chemicals at the paper mill and I put it in my back pocket so it wouldn't get messy.  Some time during the day I pulled my handkerchief out of the pocket and goodby ring.  Never did find it.  --  JohnP

Whats wrong with wearing a 299 ring.  Shooting a 299 is still an accomplishment that one should be proud of, especially if its your first.

I'll be recieving my first 299 ring soon, and will be wearing.

I wear my Dallas city champion and TCBA National Champion rings on occasion.  I have a 298 ring which I seldom wear.

I have hardly ever worn any of them.  I do recall wearing one of them on job interviews though...sounds weird I know, but I didn't get a college ring so it's the next best thing.

I used to wear my 1st 800 ring all the time. People thought it was a class ring so I got tired of tried to explain to them what an 800 series was. I jammed my finger playing basketball and got my ring off just in time before it swelled up, haven't worn it since. I'm not even sure if it fits over my knuckle anymore.

Might as well bring any bowling trophies you have won and set them up on your table prior to bowling while your at it. Awards are a nice indicator of your personal accomplishments but wearing them around for all to see is nothing but ego.
